Spray Tans in Harleysville, PA 19438

Spray Tan Options

  • Shower, shave and exfoliate with an exfoliating mitt 24 hours prior to your spray tan. Make sure to exfoliate all parts of your body, including neck, hands and feet.

  • Avoid razors with moisture strips.

  • Avoid using Dove or Olay soap/body wash. It can leave residue on your skin.

  • A spray tan should be the last beauty service you get leading up to an event. All waxing and beauty treatments should be completed at least 24 hours prior to your tan.

  • On the day of your tan, nothing should be on your skin- no makeup, deodorant, oils, perfume, lotions, etc

  • Loose, dark clothing should be worn after your tan until you rinse. Long sleeves and pants are recommended. Avoid socks.

  • Before you rinse, you want to make sure you don't get wet and limit activities that cause you to sweat.

Spray Tan Prep

  • Your first rinse time after your spray tan will depend on which solution you choose and desired depth. No sweating or showering until then.

  • Regardless of solution, your first rinse will just be with water. No soap or shampoo. This should be a brief rinse to wash off the cosmetic bronzer. Use your hand in circular motions to help remove bronzer (no it is not your spray tan going down the drain, just the bronzer). Pat yourself dry after and continue to pat dry for the duration of your tan.

  • 24 hours after spray tan, you may shower as usual. Avoid using soap and lotion until after the 24 hour mark.

  • To prolong the length of your tan, moisturize daily and stay hydrated.

  • Avoid exfoliants, high fragranced products, products with mineral oil, prolonged time in water.

  • The longevity of your spray tan highly depends on proper prep and aftercare!

Aftercare

You are free to wear whatever you are comfortable in. Please keep in mind tan lines. Clients under 18 must wear undergarments. Men must wear underwear. Complimentary disposable underwear available upon request.

What to Wear:

  • If you’re getting a spray tan for an event, we recommend getting it 2 days prior. With that being said, we know 2 days before doesn’t work with everyone. We can work with your schedule to get you glowing any day that works for you!

  • Spray tans and sunburn do not mix. It is advised to wait at least 2-4 weeks before getting a spray tan after sunburn (timing is an estimate, longer time may be advised). New skin takes time to heal and spraying over sunburn can cause further irritation, peeling and uneven results.

  • There are factors out of our control that could affect the development of your spray tan. These can include hormones, pregnancy, medications and skin conditions. There are also outside factors that could fade your spray tan quicker, including certain lotions/beauty products, chlorine in pools/hot tubs, swimming in the ocean, sweating, tight clothing. Please keep all of these in mind as you prep and care for your tan.
